About Babak Bahrami

I am passionate about supporting people with a disability to have a better life. I started on this amazing journey in 2007 and have worked in a number of professional roles with Disability Services, Department of Communities including: Residential Care Officer Direct Support Service Officer Direct Services Team Leader I am looking forward to continuing my journey in this field for many years and developing great working relationships with clients and co-workers along the way- below are a list of skills I do in my role: Empowering individuals with an intellectual disability Skill development for clients Developing Person Centred Plans Liaising with key stakeholders including family and management Management of clients financial affairs Ensuring Community access Following strict policies and procedures personal care Advocating for individuals where necessary Support inclusion of individuals in leisure and recreational activities Promote inclusion in community activities; Identify changed needs so as to provide quality support Provide information and support to ensure informed decision making Excellent communication skills with key stakeholders
