About Badar Uddin Umar

As a dedicated medical educator with extensive experience in teaching pharmacology, clinical research, and healthcare sciences, my teaching philosophy is rooted in fostering critical thinking, engagement, and imparting lifelong learning among students. My approach is student-centered, evidence-based, and designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, preparing future healthcare professionals to excel in their respective fields. With over two decades of teaching experience across multiple institutions and countries, I have taught diverse courses, including: •MBBS and BDS programs (Pharmacology, Clinical Skills, Radiology, Toxicology) •Clinical Research and Healthcare Programs (Research Methodology, Pharmacovigilance, Healthcare Ethics) •Medical Laboratory and Dental Assisting Programs (Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, Pharmacology) I have successfully mentored and supervised student research projects, developed curricula, designed assessments, and contributed to faculty development initiatives. My experience as an instructor in various institutions across Canada, Malaysia, Bangladesh, and Uzbekistan has given me a broad perspective on different pedagogical approaches and student learning behaviors. My ultimate goal is to inspire and prepare students to become skilled, ethical, and compassionate healthcare professionals who can contribute meaningfully to patient care and medical research.
