About Badih Salman

Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology, awarded by Université Paris Cité, I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at Généthon (UMR951 INSERM / Université d’Évry), a leading center for gene therapy in rare diseases. I lead and coordinate a research project focused on the characterization of liver toxicity associated with AAV-based gene therapy, combining transcriptomic analyses, molecular biology, histology, and tissue imaging. I am responsible for the scientific management of the project at all stages—from experimental design and planning to execution, data analysis, and scientific writing. I work closely with team members, providing guidance and overseeing the operational progress of experiments. I am first author and co-author of several peer-reviewed publications, and have presented my work at international scientific conferences. I have also developed strong expertise in scientific writing, including manuscripts, technical reports, and grant applications. I hold a Master’s degree in Genetics from Sorbonne University and subsequently completed a Ph.D. at Université Paris Cité, during which I also carried out a three-year university teaching assignment, strengthening my skills in science communication, knowledge transfer, and student supervision. Fluent in French, English, and Arabic, I thrive in multicultural and collaborative environments. I bring a rigorous, autonomous, and proactive approach, with a strong orientation toward solving complex scientific problems and translating findings into innovative applications.
