In the past 20+ years in the financial industry I have worked in various asset classes but foremost in the Alternative Investment space. As Head of the Investment Controlling team I am currently overseeing LGT CP's Liquid Alternatives business range of Hedge Fund, Insurance-Linked Fund or Multi Alternative Fund of Funds as well as the Managed Accounts platform. The years in the fund industry have brought me extensive insights and knowledge in fund management with focus on administration with all its operational aspects. My area of expertise include the entire lifecycle of funds from inception to wind-down or restructuring and everything in between meaning areas like trade placements, audit, currency hedging and collateral management. As expert for operational aspects, I initiate but also approve projects and supervise the internal and external implementation and day-to-day operational coverage. My current role requires constant coordination with internal teams like portfolio management or structuring and IT but also external service providers. Being a firm believer in leading by example and open communication, I have successfully lead my international team in the past seven years. I let my team members work independently without constant oversight while providing honest feedback and sharing knowledge whenever required. I use software to help make the team's processes more efficient and less risky. Various VBA tools I have created years ago are still in use today. I use Python for my private projects.
