About Bahaa Radi

I am an engineer with a strong focus on high-speed IC design, photonics, and optoelectronics. With a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, I have demonstrated expertise in developing integrated circuits for high-speed communication systems. As a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Toronto and McGill University, I worked on modeling and optimizing photodetector/transimpedance amplifier interfaces for optical receivers, and contributing to LiDAR front-end and sensor design. During my Ph.D. studies, I focused on low-power optical receiver design in advanced process technology, validating my work by successfully designing multiple receivers in CMOS 65 nm. My research extended to the design of passive electrical components in silicon photonics. I also worked on the design of 50 Gbaud DAC-less PAM-4 modulators and fostered collaborations with industrial partners. With a strong IC design foundation, passion for innovation, and proven ability to mentor and supervise, I believe I am an asset to any high-speed IC design team. My talent in optimizing optical systems and exceptional research contributions make me an ideal candidate for cutting-edge projects in high-speed communication. My interests/skills include high-speed optoelectronic transceivers design, custom RF/analog/digital integrated circuits design, photonic Integrated circuits design, embedded systems, RF measurements, and hardware design using FPGAs.
