About Bailey Chick

Days before I went off to college, my father wrote me a sweet note with a John A. Shedd quote on it. The quote read,"A ship in harbor is safe, but that's not what ships are built for." This quote resonated with me. Though I would still be in the same state, I was going to be 12 hours away from home; away from all that is safe, and all that is familiar. I was beginning a new adventure. An adventure filled with unknowns and excitement. Though I could always return home, I knew that I was built for something more than that. I embraced the journey. I embraced the uncertainty. I embraced the experience. And I was rewarded. Getting out of my comfort zone and trying something brand new is something that I most enjoy doing. Throughout my career with Legrand, I have been lucky enough to do just that. I have traveled, moved, and worked all over the country. I have been able to explore incredible cities and meet incredible people within the organization, all while increasing my skillset in both the marketing & sales field. As my career continues, I keep that John A. Shedd quote in mind, and have it serve as a guide to remind myself that life is about getting out of your comfort zone, and pushing yourself to limits you didn't know were possible.
