About Bailey Edwards

I received my Bachelor's degree in psychology and criminal justice from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and I received my Master's degree in Forensic Psychology with a concentration in treatment and evaluation from Argosy University. Throughout my educational experiences, I have realized that I would like to discover opportunities working with children, adolescents or juveniles in a correctional, clinical or counseling setting. I worked at Nystrom and Associates as a Mental Health Practitioner doing in-home therapy and skills work with kids 18 and under. I worked in this position for about a year and a half. Before this position I was a Senior Developmental Trainee at Fraser in their Day Treatment Program for kids with autism. I was working in this program for about a year and a half. For graduate school, I had the opportunity to complete my field placement at the Dakota County Juvenile Services Center. I finished up my internship at the Dakota County Juvenile Services Center, and decided to continue working there as a volunteer. I worked at this facility for about 6 months and it was a great experience. I currently work at the Treffert Center: Agnesian Beyond Boundaries of Autism as a Behavioral Treatment Therapist. I work with children who have been diagnosed with autism. I do in-home therapy, as well as work in schools and at the center. Currently in the process of getting ESDM certified (Early Start Denver Model). Through my work and internship experiences, I have developed excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, communication skills, organizational skills, as well as leadership skills. I am able to work effectively as part of a diverse team and am able to handle confidential and time sensitive material. I am extremely hard-working and am highly motivated with a strong work ethic. I am looking to expand my skills and knowledge by exploring other opportunities within the field of criminal justice and psychology.
