About Bailey Evanoff

I'm a problem solver by heart - I started coding in Java for Minecraft modding at age 10, after my cousin had mentioned that it would be too complex for me to understand (as he had the superior knowledge of an 11-year-old). From the time I added my first custom, texture-less block, I was hooked on the thought process and precisely communicative nature of software development. I started to broaden my horizons my picking up more languages and best practices for the next few years, until I learned about the world of Offensive Security through some friends at school. Since that time, I've put everything I have into learning the necessary skills to be able to think critically about my own work, and figure out where the gaps in my knowledge are. I began to participate in CTF challenges, which was integral in determining my future specialization. I started to acquire knowledge of SQL injection, XSS attacks, Binary Exploitation - I could start to visualize the attack surface of all manner of different software. This, to me, is the ultimate form of what made me love the field, it's a never-ending puzzle, and I never get tired of solving problems. I'm a student, and I imagine I always will be. I'm the kind of person that you can hire and say "Here are the necessary frameworks/languages/technologies to be familiar in to succeed at this role"- and I will put everything I have into attaining proficiency as quickly as possible. One of the only goals that will stick with me at any company, doing any job, is to always be learning about how to solve new problems - especially prophylactically - as I believe most problems can be identified and rectified before they do harm. I'm looking for: Help Desk, Junior Sys-Admin, Junior Software Dev, Cybersecurity Internships - any job role that can help bring me to the next level, while I continue doing what I've always done best.
