Hi I'm Bailey Schafer. I am 19 years old and was born in San Fransisco, CA but grew up in Mount Pleasant, SC. I am a beginner figure skater at the Carolina Ice Palace. I'm learning new skills right now such as forward crossovers, inside/outside edges, and three point turns. I'm still at the beginning stages! As stated in my profile, I am a Certified Nursing Assistant and work at Frankes at Seaside Long Term Care Facility. I love it there! The residents are SUPER sweet and my co-workers are great, I get along with them very well. Right now I am majoring in Nursing so that I can work as a nurse. I want to specialize in Pediatric Cardiology and maybe work in the PCICU (Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care Unit). I was born with a life-threatening heart condition called Hypo-plastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). Which basically means I was born with a half of heart; my left side is underdeveloped and does not function. Anyway I wish to become a Pediatric Cardiology Nurse because I want to help take care of children who have heart problems and wish to give them and their families hope by sharing my heart journey.</3
