About Bailey Smith

Hi! I have recently finished up my time at Simonds Homes where I was a Design Consultant for about a year and a half, and am currently studying a Postgraduate Diploma of Property with Deakin University. Having also completed my bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture with the University of South Australia, I am now looking to continue my career in the design and residential construction industry. I have always had a keen eye for design, dating back to my kindergarten days. Growing up I have always wanted to expand my knowledge and experience in architectural design, and whilst I have now gotten my feet wet, I am ready to jump head first into a new and exciting career. In addition to my love for design, I also possess natural entrepreneurial skills and a background in finance with the Department of Treasury and Finance. I one day hope to fuse my three skills in design, entrepreneurship and finance to embark on a successful career in residential property development. I aim to bring a newfound awareness to architectural and interior design to property development whilst maximising profit. I specifically chose to study Interior Architecture as I am fascinated by the unique connection between a space, its occupants, and their interactions with it. As humans we spend majority of our time inside, whether that be at work, at home or out in public, this is why I believe careful considerations to interior design are imperative to a successful space as well as the mental health and productivity of its occupants.
