About Bambi Thatphithakkul

Geelong Grammar School and William Angliss Institute alumna. Currently a third-year Bachelor of Food Technology / Bachelor of Business Management (Double Major) student at RMIT University with over 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial kitchens and the dynamic hospitality industry. I consider myself a dedicated team player and quick learner with a passion for exploring the product development and related industries, as well as staying updated on current food trends in the market. Having grown up in Bangkok, Thailand for the first half of my life, I learned early on that food is the foundation of nearly everything, with deep ties to my nation's cultures, heritage and its identity, extending beyond the tastes and flavors of our national cuisine. Throughout my life, I had many opportunities to explore, experiment with, and develop various flavour and food combinations using ingredients from both the Western and Asian culinary cultures to reflect my life experiences, which were equally spent in Bangkok and Melbourne. And now that I'm perusing my degree in Food Technology, I aim to channel my unique experiences into creating something exceptional, using the skills I honed during my years in the hospitality kitchens. As you may have read in my profile snippet, my dream is to contribute to product innovation that leaves such a positive impression that people go,'That was my favorite,' after experiencing it. I am currently employed as part of RMIT University’s Student Connect Concierge Team while actively contributing to the university’s mentoring programs and leadership projects. As well as being a regular volunteer at the Foodbank Victoria. I am also seeking opportunities to leverage my skills further and contribute to innovative advancements in the manufacturing sector.
