About Bappaditya Lala

Its kind of weird to say about myself, at this juncture of life. Thankfully its just the professional me;) 1998. My first Project. A Project that would enable a University to digitise data and print their Marksheets. COBOL was the stack, on Mainframe. Same year, moved over to C. Developed one of the early IVRS of the country, for a newspaper called The Statesman. 27 years later, it still seemed like yesterday. As they say - you never forget your first time;) From IVRS to device drivers to algorithm development in C, it was time to step forward and enter the world of Databases. Become a Guru on our friendly neighbourhood Client-Server platform. From Databases to Data Modelling. From Data Modelling to Data Architecture. Now I find myself on Cloud M. The industry I only started to use as a survival tool, has really taken me places. Everything seems like an achievement. From developing Kolkata's First IVRS, Implementing Inventory System in Coal India that ran for more than 8 years to recent Data Ingestion Pipeline that is still running since 2021. And on the way picked up aclamation, affection, respect and criticism from my counterparts and my juniors which I wear as a badge of honour. Will continue to do so till I am done.
