About Bappaditya Roy

I have three years of Postdoctoral research experienced in Computational Soft-matter Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai. I have completed my Doctorate Degree in Computational Statistical Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. My research involves the understanding of the active dynamics and structure of self-propelled spherical particles and polymers. Moreover, I have research experience in Computational Statistical Physics using Mote-Carlo Technics during my Ph.D. My research was focused on a better understanding of the abrupt connectivity problems in nature. We have developed several percolating growth models incorporating the essential ingredients like nucleation and growth to realize Percolation as a first-order transition in static and dynamic non-equilibrium growth. The models are investigated through extensive numerical simulations.* Extensive programming experience in C, FORTRAN, python, VMD, ovito, xmgrace, xfig, Inkscape * Experience in writing documents with Latex *Good expertise in parallel computing. Expert in using MPI, OpenMP *Experience in working with Unix/Linux based environments (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat)* Working experience with Windows operating system and MS Office packages and several other utilities software.
