About Barb Ashick

I am presently employed as a member service representative supervisor at the Sudbury Credit Union, but looking to get back into education. Before working at the credit union, I was an occasional teacher with Sudbury Catholic Schools. I did year long term contracts in grade 2/3, 5/6, resource, and comprehensive/life skills. I have teacher qualifications in all divisions (primary, junior, intermediate math and senior social sciences). I also have Special Education Part I. My current position with the credit union has taught me about financial literacy and I would love to share this knowledge with students. On the side I also work as an Educational Tutor, a relief/respite worker, piano teacher, and pianist at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. My post-secondary education includes degrees in Biomedical Physics and Education. My areas of expertise are as follows: Microsoft Office proficiency, time management, strong problem solver, customer service, continuous learner, active listener as well as self-directed. You will find that I am a resourceful and creative individual who is organized. I enjoy working with people of all ages and committed to delivering high quality service. I am always open to new opportunities to increase my knowledge and gain experience.
