Hi, I’m Barb—a Payroll & Benefits Manager with a passion for people, precision, and process improvement. My journey began as an Accounting Assistant, and in 2007 I transitioned into payroll, where I found my niche. Since then, I’ve grown through the ranks—becoming a Payroll Coordinator in 2020 and advancing to Manager in 2022. Today, I oversee payroll and benefits administration for two Utility Locate companies, supporting approximately employees. I hold the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification and specialize in ADP payroll systems, leading a talented team to ensure payroll and benefits are delivered accurately, compliantly, and efficiently. I bring a well-rounded background that includes: DCPP pension plan administration Experience with both unionized and non-unionized environments Benefits administration and customer service Familiarity with ESA and payroll governance in Ontario and Alberta I have also participated in many committees such as Events committee member and as a Co-Chair on the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) Notable achievements: Successfully implemented payroll system upgrades and led the transition of two companies to a new platform, ensuring a smooth and compliant migration.
