Barbara’s career in the real estate industry covers a number of positions, from managing developer’s conversions in the 1980’s to the brokerage community and Rubloff Residential Properties in 1995. Her business is generally a 50/50 mix of buyers/sellers. Over the course of Barbara’s career, she’s sold more than in real estate. This volume of transactions gives her the skill set that serves her clients well. While everyone is engaged in multi-tasking these days Barbara’s philosophy is simple - she has ONE AND ONLY ONE TASK – to represent you in the most honest and ethical manner possible, advocating on your behalf, for a successful and rewarding conclusion in your search for a place you call “home.” Her hands on approach means listening, organizing and evaluating your needs as she helps you define your priorities in order for you to have a real comfort level when it comes to either buying or selling a home. While the fundamentals of a transaction remain the same, the people are what make the dynamics of each one unique and very special! Her goal at the end of the day is to make sure that you are well informed and happy with the entire process. Nearly 100% of Barbara’s business is by referral. Her mission is to facilitate a purchase or sale in the most professional, smooth and enjoyable way possible. Her philosophy has always been “clients are for life, not a transaction” and clients have always rewarded her w/their referrals and additional transactions. She has been involved w/the West DePaul Neighborhood Association, participating w/other residents on the Zoning Committee. This group brought about a sweeping ordinance that now protects homeowners from adjacent property developers during construction. Her hard work lead to the property tax cap in 2003 known as the “Seven Per Cent” bill. She has been acknowledged by the Ravenswood, Lake View & Wrightwood communities and has won TRAC (Tax Reform Action Coalition) the recognition of elected officials at the city, county & state. Specialties: Working in all the communities with TRAC, she is familar with all the neighborhoods from Beverly up along the lake front into the Gold Coast, Lincoln Park/DePaul, Lakeview, west to Wicker Park/Bucktown, Logan Square, north to Edgewater/Andersonville and over to Old Irving and Portage Park.
