About Barbara Anthony

The time is now, and it is exciting! I transitioned from an established career in Marketing and Management to the world of Organizational Effectiveness & Development allowing me to use my experience to create even greater impact at SAS. My background at this incredible company that I was a part of for over 30 years and which honored my contributions with the CEO Award of Excellence, positioned me to serve as a coach, mentor and trainer to help others unlock their potential. My true passion around helping people to connect with their strengths and my desire to avoid the ‘I wish I had.’ syndrome propelled this “Barb 2.0” career change. During my final three years at SAS, I combined workforce wisdom and exposure with my lifelong dream to help people forge a path between where they are and where they want to be. My achievements ranged from standing up a first-ever marketing enablement program, leadership coaching, Emotional Intelligence and Crucial Conversations training, and career mentoring. I’ve recently added another chapter to my professional development story which continues to support my strengths and passion, now that I’ve retired from SAS. Working part-time at Better Organizations by Design is allowing me to add value based on my marketing, coaching and training background. This unique and inspiring consulting firm guides leaders to harness the power of organizational alignment and develops teams where all people are supported to leverage their strengths and be their best.
