About Barbara Becker

I have been a manager in the field of Early Childhood Education for more than 18 years, and a consultant for six years. I also have a passion to support those working with home-based infant development programs including Early Head Start.I am interested in practice based coaching and supporting others in their development as learner/leaders. My life has included a commitment to social justice and growing my knowledge of the world around me. It is truly an amazing and perplexing place, this blue planet. I have experience with disabilities services,as well as early literacy and family literacy educational programs. My goal is to link like-minded people who want the very best educational supports for young children and their families, and to support teacher educational growth. I actively learn and model best practices that the current research has to show and seek to find ways to apply the findings so that programs serving low income children can provide continuous quality.
