Version 2.0: On to the Next Great Adventure! It’s all about making connections, nurturing relationships, and supporting future growth. While that is one definition of marketing, I have learned it is also the best definition of mentoring our younger generation of marketers, and any other career endeavor one aspires to. Whether early-in-career, or still in middle and high school, kids need strong mentors to help put them on the right path. This is where I choose to write my next chapter. Today, I am a board member for the Sierra Club Inspiring Connections Outdoors, that aspires to connect with kids who may not have the opportunity to see and experience the great outdoors due to any number of economic or family challenges. As a new hike leader, I am excited to show kids to value our greatest assets, to become stewards of our planet while learning new skills and experiences that will help shape their lives. Along the same lines, I am in a new program now to become a social studies high school teacher in Las Vegas, where there is a severe teacher shortage. I can't think of anything I would rather do with the next chapter of my life. Version 1.0 - It's been a great ride!
