About Barbara Brabec

After 21 years on BarbaraBrabec.com, where I featured my home-business and crafts marketing trade books, services for writers, and articles on various topics, I opened my all-new WordPress site at BarbaraBrabecProductions.com the first of December, 2021. This Christian-oriented site showcases my current books, professional services for writers interested in self-publishing, and a large archive of my best and most timeless life-related articles over a period of four decades. My writing and publishing credentials from 1971 to present will be found on the About page of my new site, where I'm delighted to finally be able to blog for the first time. Writing/Publishing Goals: I've now published two biographical memoirs and am working on a new book that will be half fiction based on a true story. A major life goal now is to encourage other writers to write about their life and/or that of their family. I believe many people have a book inside them waiting to be born, and I hope my success in self-publishing will inspire others to turn their life experiences and the lessons learned from them into marketable books they can publish and sell themselves. My services and growing archive of articles for writers and would-be authors will help them do that. Specialties: Writing, editing, communicating, and managing my website. Keen understanding of self-publishing, home-business, and arts/crafts industries-plus the realities of being a self-employed homebased business owner, writer, editor, author, and self-publisher since 1971.(I no longer accept editing jobs, but I use this skill when I critique book manuscripts.) Now well past the age of retirement, I plan to keep doing what I love most and do best until God calls me home. With a lifetime of experience in business and life in general, I am becoming something of an expert on the art of growing old gracefully and productively and want to be a role model for those who think they're too old to accomplish their secret dreams.
