About Barbara Garrison

Ms. Garrison has over 35 years total years of experience in professional biology, with experience in wildlife management, threatened and endangered species analysis, wildlife habitat analysis, ecology, Section 404 permitting, agency coordination, and management of raptors and big game animals. As a former wildlife specialist with the Arizona Game and Fish Department, Ms. Garrison developed strong, positive relationships with federal, state, local, and tribal governments. She has a broad and diverse background in biological resources that includes experience working with many special status and federally listed species in Tennessee, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, California, Oregon, and New Mexico. She planned, coordinated, surveyed and conducted studies on many federally endangered and threatened plants and wildlife, as well as other special status species in Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Idaho. Her broad experience includes project management, coordination, supervision, technical writing and editing, planning, and communicating effectively with the public and federal, state regulatory agencies as well as local and tribal governments. From 2006 through 2010, she was the primary biologist and author of numerous Sonoran Desert Conservation Plan (SDCP) biological reconnaissance reports for Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation and Arizona Land and Water Trust.
