About Barbara Gervase
After losing my teenage son, Kyle, to suicide in 2014, I was inspired to establish the Kyle Hyland Foundation (KHF) for Teen Support as a legacy for Kyle. The KHF is a Benicia-based 501 (c)(3) organization that offers programs that are designed to provide a full range of support for youth including mental health programs and other services as well as a drop-in teen center in the city of Benicia. In FY2022-2023, we served over 200 teens. I now serve as the President and Executive Director of the KHF securing funding for our programs and managing day to day operations and staff.
