With nearly a decade of dedication to Veteran care, I've honed core competencies in team motivation and primary health care coordination at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. My mission is to ensure the highest standard of care for our Veterans by aligning my efforts with the organization's values of respect, integrity, and commitment. Leveraging my MSN in Nursing Leadership and Management, I bring diverse perspectives and a deep understanding of healthcare management to our team. In my most recent role, I've been instrumental in creating bridges between Veterans and primary care, assisting nurses with seamless care coordination within the outpatient primary care health department. My focus on High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles has significantly enhanced the support structure for Veterans, aligning acute and chronic care with preventative measures, and has provided a culture of safety and trust of those I lead. This approach, combined with my skills in servant leadership and honoring the ICARE core values of the VA, has contributed to the empowerment of our organization to deliver the upmost safe, comprehensive and compassionate care with every interaction with our Veteran patients and the nurses I serve.
