I’m Barbara Kitane-Boero, founder and CEO of Ampersand—a regenerative strategy and storytelling company helping organizations make the future more livable, one business and community at a time. My work sits at the intersection of sustainability, culture, and communications. I collaborate with forward-thinking teams in aviation, tourism, the creative economy, and lifestyle industries to rethink how they grow, connect, and create long-term value. From decarbonizing travel experiences to embedding climate justice into creative campaigns, I approach transformation through systems thinking, narrative integrity, and stakeholder trust. I recently earned my GSTC Professional Certificate in Sustainable Tourism, deepening Ampersand’s commitment to place-based, inclusive approaches—especially for MSMEs and changemakers in the Global South navigating sustainability transitions. At Ampersand, we co-design strategies, narratives, internal cultures, and coalitions that regenerate—not extract.
