About Barbara Markoff

Barbara Markoff is U.S. Bank’s Community Affairs Manager for Milwaukee, Madison and SE Wisconsin. She is responsible for ensuring that the bank is an active participant in the community—conducting financial education for adults and children, helping revitalize neighborhoods through investments and meeting the lending needs in low and moderate income areas of the city. In her role with the bank, she is on the board of the Urban Economic Development Association (UEDA), Agape Community Center, a member of the Community Development Funder’s Alliance and on various committees with Take Root Milwaukee (formerly Milwaukee Homeownership Consortium). Prior to joining U.S. Bank, Barbara was Community Development Manager for ASQ and a training and organizational development consultant with local businesses and nonprofit organizations. She served as adjunct faculty for the Keller Graduate School of Management and taught several workshops for the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee. Barbara has a B.A. Degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Barbara volunteers at the St. Bens Meal Program, does volunteer dog-walking with her daughter at the Wisconsin Humane Society and is active in her faith community. She is married to Jerry (River ) Kaster and has one daughter, Lily, and three stepchildren, Alex, Andrea and Nicole.
