Background
About Barbara Reece
Barbara Reece, MSN, RN is an executive coach and President of Development Matters, LLC. My focus is on professional/leadership development, team building, performance management, career transitions, and work-life balance. My clients report improvement in their ability to successfully adapt to their changing professional and personal lives. I am passionate about assisting individuals in developing skills and tools to become the best they can be “wherever they are”. Transitions are a constant, navigating them is a skill; relationships are critical, understanding them is essential. I will partner with you in developing your professional presence, emotional intelligence, adaptability in transitions, and balancing personal and professional demands. I have been a Registered Nurse for 40 years with about 32 years in management/leadership positions. Specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, I have worked with clients in individual, family and group settings. My training in psychiatric nursing has proven absolutely beneficial when providing services. All of my gifts, talents, education, and prior experiences have contributed to my success. I have personally experienced the challenges of transition, finding personal and professional balance, and have an understanding of the complexities of health care. I have held leadership positions at: The Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals of Cleveland, St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio. If you are transitioning to a new leadership position, facing challenges in your professional life or are interested in enhancing your strengths, perhaps it’s time to work with a coach.
