About Barbara Resch

I am a people person with a wide range of interests by nature - and an engineer and product manager by training. I have a curious personality and an appreciation for a variety of topics and experiences. My high school had a focus on humanities and social sciences and I liked most of them. I especially liked languages, psychology and music, and as I wanted to work with people, I considered becoming a speech therapist. Then I changed my mind and went for something that was more unknown territory given my previous education: Engineering! I chose electrical engineering and audio engineering, since I was intrigued by the possibilities to apply technology in support of creative audio work. That is how audio engineering became one of my big passions. My work career started on the technology side with research work both in academia and in the industry, then gravitating towards managerial roles where I got to live out more of my people-oriented personality. I thrive in a professional environment, where collaboration is valued and where it is encouraged to challenge the status quo and to try out new approaches. I enjoy collaborating with people, creating clear goals, and finding the best way to achieve those goals. I have experience of working with complex matters and I get energized by applying structure and simplification. I have - a positive mindset and I focus more on opportunities than the underlying obstacles- a strong drive to get things done- strong communication skills- an inclusive leadership approach where I seek to understand and consider different perspectives of my co-workers and stakeholders. In my private life I enjoy spending my time with outdoor activities and training, music, literature, languages, theater and art.
