About Barbara Smolnikar

More than 30 years of leading and managerial work experience in the financial sector (banking and insurance), with 10 years experiences of working as Chief Executive Officer in Life Insurance company, and full mandate (5 years) as a Management Board member in the biggest Slovenian Insurance company. I have experience in planning the company’s long term development strategy, in coordination and controlling the implementation of the company’s strategy, in managing and representing the company, in making all general decisions to guide the business process, operating in field of commercial banking, insurance - through developing products, selling them to individuals and legal entities, while being responsible for managing various size of entities and number of employees.With all above I have a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry, I am skilled in Management, Leadership, Customer Service, Marketing, Negotiation, Business Planning and Business Strategy. I have a strong business development with a Ph.D. focused in Business Administration and Management, General from IEDC - Bled School of Management.
