Barett Hoover is a dynamic arts leader with over 20 years of experience in nonprofit arts management, strategic planning, and performing arts production. He has held leadership roles at organizations such as Bay Philharmonic, Chamber Music Hawai’i, and Hawai’i Opera Theatre, where he developed innovative programming, expanded community engagement, and secured significant funding to support the arts. His career has been dedicated to fostering creative communities, championing diversity and inclusion, and ensuring the sustainability of arts organizations through strategic planning and innovative program development. With extensive experience in fundraising, marketing, and operations, he has successfully led initiatives that increased audience engagement, enhanced artistic excellence, and strengthened financial stability. Now serving as the Director of Performing Arts at Menlo College, Barett is leading the launch of a new co-curricular performing arts program. This initiative is designed to provide students with opportunities to participate in theater, music, and dance while pursuing their academic goals, creating a vibrant and interdisciplinary artistic community on campus.
