With over 25 years of experience in the domains of smart cities, intelligent transportation, and technology evangelism, Barinder is a visionary leader and a strategic thinker who drives innovation and growth for Infra, where he heads the Smart Cities business unit. He is responsible for building the strategy, managing the P&L, developing the organization, and leading the business development for the Smart Cities portfolio, which includes solutions for transit management, port access control, electronic toll collection, dam surveillance, solid waste management, smart parking, and integrated command and control centres. Barinder has a proven track record of delivering and managing complex and large-scale technical projects within budget and time while ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. He has successfully bid and won projects in Kochi Water Metro, Pune City, Ahmedabad Smart City, Mumbai BEST, and many others, generating a combined revenue of over USD 300 million and an order book of USD 250 million. He is also a mentor and an advisor for startups and entrepreneurs in the smart cities and IoT space, sharing his insights and expertise from his academic background in IIM Calcutta, INSAID, and PMP.
