About Barnabas Molnar

I am a software developer currently working in the cloud division of a color management company, with a focus on front-end development (70%) and significant involvement in back-end tasks (30%). My responsibilities include translating design mock-ups (from Figma or Adobe) into functional, pixel-perfect, and responsive features; building scalable web applications using React, REST, GraphQL, and DynamoDB; and leveraging various AWS services. I also contribute to the development and maintenance of our custom component library, and support testing and troubleshooting across both front-end and back-end layers. This dynamic role has given me a broad understanding of modern web technologies and cloud solutions. In mid-2019, I made a focused transition into software development through intensive self-study. Without attending a formal school, I designed my own curriculum, built real-world projects, and in 2021 landed my first developer role—driven by persistence, curiosity, and continuous improvement. I'm a strong believer in "learning by doing" and follow Robert C. Martin's principle of leaving code cleaner than I found it. While my passion lies in front-end development and agile workflows, I’m equally motivated to dive into back-end programming and cloud infrastructure whenever the opportunity arises. Skills- Proficient in HTML, CSS, SASS, and SCSS, with experience in creating responsive and visually appealing user interfaces- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, including ES6+ features and modern frameworks such as React- Familiarity with popular UI libraries such as React Bootstrap and Material UI- Experienced in unit testing with Jest and React-Testing Library, as well as end-to-end testing with Cypress, ensuring the reliability and stability of applications- Experienced in package management with Npm and version control with Git, ensuring efficient collaboration and code management across development teams- Experience back-end technologies and concepts (e.g, Node.js)
