I am an experienced strategic leader focussed on improving people engagement at all levels. My career path has covered scientific research, media relations, external affairs, volunteering, internal communications, community engagement, event management, and all forms of digital, working with board members, staff, partners, supporters, and volunteers. I have a proven track record of identifying, developing, and promoting newsworthy stories and getting environmental science covered accurately and appropriately in a range of high-profile media, including the BBC, national newspapers, radio, television and magazines (I even get a few mentions in Fiona Fox's recent book - Beyond the Hype: The Inside Story of Science’s Biggest Media Controversies - yes, I was there.). I'm now working at the Bumblebee Conservation Trust - the UK's one and only wild bee charity - leading a team that wishes to inspire everyone to take action to protect our beautiful bumbles through a mix of online and in-person engagement. Our hope is that everyone will #BeeTheChange #LoveBumbles and take #BeeKind actions!
