About Barny Evans

I am a passionate and knowledgeable leader who advises investors, developers, and government on the net zero agenda and sustainability strategy. I am excited and deeply engaged in the energy transition, thinking about how electrification, solar, energy storage, EV charging interact in real time in a smart way. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, having worked on projects and organisations across the UK, Europe, and Asia, and having a background in engineering, business, and policy. In my previous role as Head of Sustainable Places and Energy at WSP in the UK, I ran a successful business unit that provided advice on new development, clean tech, and renewable energy investments, and corporate advisory and reporting. I led a team of over 30 professionals who doubled in size and delivered some of the highest margins in the business during my time. I also contributed to the development and implementation of WSP's own net zero strategy, and supported several high-profile clients, such as Google, Amazon, and IKEA, in achieving their sustainability targets.
