We were colleagues at Genentech in the 1990s and early to mid at the critical time when the Genentech restructured its entire process for Product Development and Strategic Pre-Commercial/Commercial planning. Functional Roles: Executive - Commercial Development and Operations; Brand Management; Product Development Strategy; Sales/Sales Management; Marketing Planning & Analytics; Business & Corporate Development; Investor Development; Alliance Management Therapeutic Area Experience: Cardiovascular, Pulmonary, Endocrinology, Oncology, Hematology, Neurology, Anesthesia, Surgery, Critical Care Medicine, Generics. Expertise and Focus: Specialty Therapeutics for Orphan and Ultra-Orphan diseases; Cell & Gene Therapy; Manufacturing/CDMO; U.S. and Global Markets. Most Recent Industry Role: Intermune - Vice President, Commercial Development (May 2008 through December 2011). Primary Responsibility: Led the development of the Pre-launch and Launch Commercialization Strategy and Plans, and built the Commercial organization, in preparation for the launch of a first-in-class orphan therapeutic for a fatal pulmonary disease.
