About Barrett Smith

I have a soaring passion for engineering and applying myself creatively to accomplish my goals. I am not afraid of failure or making mistakes because they can only teach you how to improve. My current and future objectives, professionally, are to be the best engineer I can be and to not rest on my laurels. I am not content with "good enough" or "almost" I have an innate need to always strive for my best. No exceptions. I will constantly try and learn new technologies which interest me and are relevant to my field. My goal is to find a company which is interested in progress and breaking the status quo through well engineered solutions. I enjoy robotics greatly and appreciate all the fine engineering which has helped make them a reality. Robotics include nearly every facet of engineering, electrical, computer, mechanical, mathematics all in one convenient, efficient package. I have a deep understanding and knowledge of programming ABB manipulators with emphasis on advanced concepts. My understanding of precision machine design, machining technologies, robotics and programming give me a unique advantage to see the entire picture of effective equipment design. I enjoy the engineering approach to everything I do, I seek out the data and the theory which matches. I take great pride in the meticulous output of my work and seek to be the implement of future U.S. manufacturing. My current passion has been taking the adventure of entrepreneurship! I decided that if I wanted to fully explore my creative engineering and manufacturing skills I needed an outlet which would enable me to do that. That is why I have created FAF Engineering LLC where I can explore new engineering and manufacturing technologies to enable more reliable and robust automation systems. This exploration is enabled by providing engineering and job shop services to manufacturers and enthusiasts.
