About Barry Boyer

Barry Boyer is current faculty in ISEM at Harrisburg University. He was involved in data-processing and information technology over 40 years. His experience includes application development, systems analysis, project management, and guiding information technology in several companies. During his career, he has been a participant in the formation of IT governance at several companies. In the delivery of support services, Barry has developed and tailored service level agreements to customer requirements. His professional background spans companies in the snack food industry, manufacturing, consulting, and healthcare. Barry currently serves as the Chapter Adviser (past-President) of the Susquehanna Valley Chapter of HDI and served as president of the Computer Professionals of Central PA for three years. His is also an active member of HIMSS and the local chapter board secretary (CPAHIMSS). Barry also holds membership in PMI and CHIME. Barry is also an adjunct professor at Harrisburg University in the subjects of Systems Analysis and IT Quality with ITIL. Barry holds the following certifications: Certified Support Center Director, ITIL Foundations Certification, ITIL Service Management Certification, Support Center Team Lead Certification and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information Management and Systems. He graduated with a Masters Degree in Information Systems Engineering and Management from Harrisburg University and holds a BS Degree in Mathematics from The Pennsylvania State University. Barry recently completed an Advanced Studies in Smart Enterprises Post Masters Certificate and is A.B.D. for a Doctorate in Education Technology from Central Michigan University.
