About Barry Hanson

Completed a 20 year Active Duty Air Force. Culminating my career as Superintendent in a flying unit partnered with the FAA. In this position it was important to build a strategic hiring program to project training and qualified personnel. While also supporting the mission as the sole aircraft avionics technician protecting airways at airfields across the globe. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to create new ways to sustain and replace outdated on-board aircraft equipment paving the way for similar platforms Air Force wide. I was lucky to have several remarkable leaders who supported my direction and ideas to better prepare the unit for the future. This taught me how to create relationships with other organizations to meet our goals. Thanks to a number of challenging experiences I learned that team building can accomplish more than solo hard-work. I have developed strong strategic thinking skills by focusing on 4-6 years in the future on the decision made today. I have built on the ability to communicate direction and goals to leaders, workers, and peers. Finally taking on new projects I have fine tuned training others and building effective teams. I am interested in taking these skill and folding them into a Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences career path.
