Dr. Barry J. Berkowitz is President of Berkowitz Acquisitions. Dr. Berkowitz specializes in mergers and acquisitions focusing Technology, Manufacturing, Education and Healthcare companies throughout the U.S. and internationally. He has earned the prestigious title of Master Certified Business Intermediary from the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), as well as the M&A Master Intermediary (M & AMI) distinction from the M&A Source. In 2016, Barry was elected to the Board of Governors of the IBBA and currently serves as the Past Chair. Barry became a Fellow of the IBBA in 2014 and the following year he received the prestigious Tom West Award. In 2019 Barry became a Fellow of the M&A Source. Barry has also been selected in the prestigiouy IBBA Hall of Fame. Barry is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Florida and he is also an active member of the Business Brokers of Florida. Dr. Berkowitz has experience as an entrepreneur as well as a corporate manager. Barry started his career as a scientist and then a manager of materials engineering at Exxon. He published extensively and holds several patents. Barry received his BES in Engineering and his MS and PhD degrees in Materials Sciences from Stony Brook University. He also served as Chairman of the Advisory Board for the New Jersey Entrepreneurs Forum, sponsored by the NJ State Office on Science and Technology.
