About Barry M.

I am currently at an advanced proficiency in Revit Architecture and Building Information Management (BIM). I first began using ArchiCAD software in 2001 to virtually construct and coordinate architectural projects and further develop my construction modelling and BIM experience with various 3D software programs most recently working since January 2012 in Revit Architecture. I am now a Certified Autodesk Revit Architecture professional in parallel with Navisworks and more recently exploring the possibilities of Dynamo. I have progressed significantly with Building Information Modelling & Management over the last 9 years. My previous experience included a leading role as an Autodesk Revit Architecture user & BIM coordination manager on the new Non Clinical Support Building at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast circa £10m which is currently on site progressing to the New Hospital for Sick Children circa £125m also within the Royal Victoria Hospital currently at Tender stage. My previous experience and specifically my time with AECOM has enabled me to gain valuable experience within the Health Care sector in both non-clinical support infrastructure buildings & experience in the complexities of critical health care design working with multiple disciplines striving forward within a BIM Level 2 environment. I received advanced Revit model training in 2012 with Lyons Sleeman Hoare Architects however my most valuable training is achieved through continuity in working directly on live BIM projects. This experience enabled me to facilitate my colleagues in practical learning in Revit modelling while developing project specific exercises in order to establish a structured learning programme supported by the AECOM University training platform. I am continuing to develop my career within the BIM Level 2 process on private residential, commercial and industrial projects.
