About Barry Ryan

Software Engineer who graduated from Limerick Institute of Technology in 2010 with a class 2.1 Honours degree in Information Systems. This course included modules which focused on Object Orientated Programming and other Software Engineering methodologies such as SQL and RPG. Awarded best final year project for my thesis entitled "Web Services for Business Development". Project research for this dissertation included the development of a JAVA based program that would validate credit card numbers and inform the end-user if a credit card number was a valid number or not. This project involved programming in XML,SOAP and WSDL along with fundamental JAVA programming techniques. Since graduating from 3rd level education, I have worked in the IT industry in several roles such as Web Design, Server based Architecture, Cloud Computing and most recently, Research and Development Consultancy. I am also an Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer.
