About Barsha Dey

As a Consultant at Praxis Institute for Participatory Practices, a leading knowledge resource organization, I support the consortium working to amplify community voices in the Sundarbans area using participatory methods and tools. I have been with Praxis since October 2023, and my work involves documentation, research support, capacity-building, mentoring and monitoring of the project activities and outcomes. I am passionate about ensuring that the voices and perspectives of marginalized and vulnerable communities are heard in the development process. I have over 15 years of experience in the higher education and non-profit sectors, where I have successfully managed and implemented several initiatives and programs of academic projects at TISS. I am an ITCILO-certified Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, with a strong background in economics and data analysis. I have also worked as a freelance consultant since July 2021, offering my expertise and services to various organizations and agencies in the development sector. I have completed three projects so far, involving designing and conducting evaluations, developing frameworks and indicators, and analyzing and reporting data and findings. My goal is to leverage my skills and experience to create positive and lasting change in development as well as the higher education sector.
