More than 20 years' experience in environmental toxicology and risk assessment, moving into regulatory aspects for global regulations and advocacy. 5 year experience in ecotoxicological testing in a laboratorium. Helping in the risk assessment of copper and zinc. After that moved to chemical industry as global environmental toxicologist. Quickly picking up also parts of human health toxicology. For more than a year focal point for APAC regarding ecotoxicology and mammalian toxicology. Involved in EU REACH (Regulation, evaluation and authorisation of chemicals) within the company since 2008 and help addressing the registrations. Full understanding of the requirements, toxicology need, IT support, moving towards managing dossier submission. Managing consortia and experts to deliver the needs and also generating a full understanding of category approaches according to the Read-Across Assessment Framework (RAAF). As Global REACH regulations emerge (Korea REACH, Taiwan REACH, Turkey REACH), been involved in these and ensuring global alignment on registration approaches as good as possible. Ensuring data generations are done for global purposes and avoiding duplications. Working on advocacy with different regulators globally to get alignment and understanding of e.g. category approaches. Within the company looking at sustainable chemistry and looking forward what can happen with our substances and raw material substances, helping innovation to make a switch if needed and provide warning of changes well in advance.
