As Principal Scientist Microbial Genomics, I work within the department Microbiology and Systems Biology of TNO Health Living. My scientific expertise relates to oral and respiratory health, microbiome modulation (e.g. prebiotics), antimicrobials and antibiotic resistance, metagenomics and in vitro models. Research collaborations includes B2B projects, public-private-partnerships, national and EU funded projects as well as academic strategic collaborations. In 2022 we will initiate a new project on pandemic diagnostics (PANDIA), investigating novel diagnostic tools for efficient testing strategies for pandemic pathogens and infections.
