About Bart Merema
Interested in building energy modelling (Eplus and Modelica) and advanced control strategies for HVAC systems (data-driven control). For my research I focus on the optimization of all-air systems in non-residential buildings. Therefore, I developed an MPC framework (grey- and black-box model) and implemented this in our test building through the BACnet interface of the air handling unit. After implementation I monitored the operation during real use and evaluated the energy saving potential.
