Bart Stoffer is Business Leader Europe power market modelling and investment valuation at DNV Energy Systems. He oversees this practice for DNV Energy Systems in Europe, supporting clients in project development, economic valuation and investment decision, and with a focus on renewable energy and thermal generation. Before his current role at DNV Energy Systems, Bart Stoffer was Global Service Line leader for DNV GL Energy, and Head of Section of DNV GL's consulting practice located in Bonn Germany. Bart Stoffer has 29 years of experience in the energy business, covering roles in energy consulting, power market modelling and trading, energy investment and project development, energy policy and regulation development, marketing and sales, and corporate strategy and business development. Bart Stoffer combines a strong expertise in the fields of strategic, economic, technical and governmental advisory services with long-standing international industry experience working for power utilities, network operators, and energy equipment manufacturing companies active in Europe and globally. Bart Stoffer joined DNV GL from GE, where he was Managing Director Europe for GE Energy Consulting, and Regional Market Development Leader for GE Energy in Europe. He also held leading positions with power generation companies like Statkraft, Mirant and Nuon in areas such as asset development, corporate strategy and acquisitions, electricity trading and portfolio optimization. Bart Stoffer started his carrier with ECN in The Netherlands, working as an energy consultant in Central and Eastern Europe, applying energy market modelling tools for the assessment of energy strategies and policy development. Bart Stoffer holds a Master's degree in Energy Systems Engineering from the Technical University Delft in The Netherlands.
