About Bartek Stawicki

I was born in Kwidzyn in Poland - a town with old pulp/paper making traditions from 70ties of last century, this is a little bit the background why starting in Paper Industry. After graduation at the local high school - I studied 5 years at the Institute of Papermaking and Printing at Technical University of Lodz, great time and good opportunity to get in touch with the industry, so 4 out of the 5 years of my studies I was training and cooperating with International Paper in Kwidzyn. in 2004 I moved to the Netherlands where in another 5 years I worked in the framework of an European Project Ecotarget - in combination with my PhD study on the sustainability of paper industry - with most of the Dutch packaging paper/board mills. Again a great time and opportunity to learn, meet great people and contribute to the performance of our industry. Then in 2009 when got the PhD finished I started as technologist at Norske Skog Parenco - where I met BIM and invited BIM to the mill. BIM has made great positive impression on me - all is about people - and the way how BIM was represented by my future colleague and coach Erik Heselmans - convinced me to start the carrier at BIM Kemi - where I am still busy on daily base with all the pleasure! a bit of my experience and daily activities- Pleasure in daily life - enjoying simple things - PAPERMAKING - Pulp Production - DEINKING - Working with People - Implementation/startup of new Deinking technology - Optimization of DIP bleaching/deinking systems - Contribution to the sustainablility of paper industry - EU/national technical/technological projects dedicated for paper industry - Starting and managing BIM Satellite company BIM PL - Sales and Marketing - making BIM known in the proper way - Helping out Pulp and Paper makers to optimize their processes with our know how and technologies - Bimming
