About Barton Pickens

Highly motivated, self starting individual with a wide area of interests, knowledge, and experiences to draw from. Served in the United States Marine Corp from 2003 - 2005 as an infantry Marine as well as in 2nd Reconnaissance training platoon 2nd Recon Battalion 2nd Marine Division, I was Meritoriously promoted once and finished my time as a Lance Corporal. Able to deal with high stress situations and lead others under pressure or in times of crisis. After returning home I enrolled in Bible College from 2006 - 2008 at Healing place school of ministry, finishing one year of part time school and two years full time, obtaining an Associate of Christian Ministry with honors, an Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry with specialization in Missions, and graduated as Class Salutatorian. I believe that hard work, perseverance, and humility will be rewarded. I focus on the big picture and constantly ask for improvement of both myself and others. I work with a constant attitude of how can we get better, concentrating on both short and long-term personal and organizational goals. Entrepreneurial mindset, intuitive, problem-solver. My Niche: Extensive experience in working both independently and in teams to deliver results in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment. Volunteer campaigning work and fundraising for various non-profit organizations.
