Specialising in servicing abandoned, rusty JVM based software - prefer to work as technical team leader and/or backend engineer. Familiar with insurance, renewable energy and telco industries. Working fully remote since 2015 - and I'm not going to change it :) Working as technical team leader for Decerto, my team and I managed to successfully take over productively used microservice oriented insurance it system from customer's former software engineering service provider. Taking over means - learning core services of the system(26 services on board), maintaining it, developing it and deploying it. As as team we also successfully rewritten outdated liferay and java8 based frontoffice sales portal where independent salesmen and agencies can sell customer's insurance product. It was built almost from the scratch using java15, springboot 2.x and couple other cool technologies. It is automatically and semi-automatically delivered to our customer's datacenter by gitlab inside docker containers.
