About Basanta Ghimire

As a Physics Ph.D. candidate at Clemson University (anticipated completion: Summer 2025), I specialize in translating novel materials into functional devices for real-world applications. My research achievements include co-inventing the TRECO heat-harvesting capacitor, a patented electrochemical device capable of generating ~100 mV K⁻¹ from room-temperature thermal gradients, and developing a µLED-based pH-imaging sensor for deep tissue diagnostics. • Electrode design/assembly, coin/pouch cell prototyping, Electrochemical techniques (CV, EIS) • Material Characterization SEM, TEM, EDX, XRD, Raman, UV-Vis, Spectrometers • Nanoparticle synthesis and characterization • LabVIEW/MATLAB automation, Arduino, Molecular dynamics simulations, CAD (SolidWorks).
