About Basile Desquiens

My interest in aviation started in childhood, leading me to begin my career in operations as a dispatcher and student administrator at an ATO, where I gained a solid understanding of EASA regulations, particularly Part FCL. In 2017, I joined one of Europe’s largest business jet operators as a flight dispatcher. My role involved organizing client trips, managing logistics (handling, fuel, crew accommodations), and overseeing technical aspects (feasibility checks, performance analysis, and flight planning). The AOC operated privately-owned aircraft and two Falcon 7X jets for the Belgian Defense. Later, I contributed to the setup of Air Belgium’s OCC, where I was involved in creating operational procedures and drafting a practical manual for the department. My main role was being engaged in operational control and network management, with a focus on optimizing performance and reducing operational costs. Subsequently, I joined the EAPC cooperative, which operates a fleet of PC-12 and PC-24 aircraft under NCO and NCC operations for member-owners. I led the establishment of the OCC department, developed procedures and processes, and managed a team of up to seven people. Currently, I serve as the nominated person for ground operations at JetHouse, an AOC I co-founded with former colleagues. I joined the venture during summer 2023, and we began operations in February 2024.
